Boyd Holbrook (full name Robert Boyd Holbrook, born circa September 1, 1981) is an American actor and fashion model. He will portray Donald Pierce in Logan.
Biography
Early life
Boyd Holbrook was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, the son of Ellen and Don Holbrook around September 1, 1981.
Modelling career
Holbrook was discovered while working part-time as a carpenter for the Jenny Wiley Theatre in Kentucky. Originally signed to Elite Models, he has worked for other agencies such as Wilhelmina Models. Among the designers and labels that Holbrook has modelled for include Gucci, Jean Paul Gaultier, Versus, Hugo Boss, Bill Blass, Calvin Klein, Moschino, Marc Jacobs, DSquared².
Film and television career
Holbrook studied acting at the William Esper Studio, and received an SCPS Certificate in 16mm film from New York University. His first screen credit was for the film Milk. Other credits include Out of the Furnace, Run All Night, A Walk Among the Tombstones, and Gone Girl. Holbrook currently portrays DEA Agent Steve Murphy in the Netflix series Narcos.
Other interests
Holbrook has released poetry from the website Model-Max.com, and is both a photographer and sculptor.
Personal life
Holbrook dated and got engaged to fellow actress Elizabeth Olsen (who portrays Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe). They called off their engagement in 2015.
